First in a series of mini-workshops and programs highlighting girl empowerment and education, engineer Swapna Kulkarni will visit the library to teach basic aerodynamic concepts. Participants will create their own contraptions to test out in a homemade wind tunnel.

There will be a short question and answer session at the beginning of the program, where attendees can learn more about science and Ms. Kulkarni’s chosen career. Each attendee will receive a free book.

This program is for grades 5-12. The series is supported in part with funds received from the Pasadena Tournament of Roses® Foundation.
