This short story, set in the Beautiful Creatures universe, recounts Link's transformation into a succubus and the ways he and his friends are coping with the changes that took place at the end of the previous book in the series, BEAUTIFUL DARKNESS. Kevin Collins gives a passionate performance, with Southern accents that never go over-the-top. Several characters can read each other's thoughts, and Collins uses a slight breathiness for this mind-speak. A dream sequence features music and spooky echo effects amid the narration. Collins's voice has earnest, youthful qualities that are a great fit for the magic and mystery of this paranormal romance.
