About the Author-
Authors Martin Ganda and Caitlin Alifirenka met as pen pals in 1997.
Liz Welch is an award winning journalist and memoirist whose critically acclaimed first book, The Kids Are All Right, (Harmony 2009) co-authored with her sister Diana Welch, won an ALA ALEX Award in 2010. She is currently a contributing writer at IncMagazine, where she writes a column about CEO's and their work habits. She has written investigative health and human-interest stories for women's magazines for more than a decade. Her work for Glamour Magazine has won many awards including an ASME and a National Press Club award in 2006 for a story on breast implants, a 2010 MAGGIE Award from Planned Parenthood for a story on abortion and a 2010 Exceptional Merit in Media Award from the National Women's Political Caucus for a piece called Generation X about women who take prescription pills without a prescription. Her stories have also appeared in The New York Times, Parade, Life, Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Real Simple, Self, Marie Claire and many others. The paperback version of The Kids Are All Right was released by Three Rivers Press September 2010.
