Are you between 14 and 24 years old and looking for a summer job? The Department of Community and Senior Services' LA County Youth Jobs encourages you to apply to Earn and Learn. Please note that submitting your interest form does not guarantee a spot in the program. Applicants will be selected randomly through a lottery. If selected, you will receive information for the selection process. If selected, you will be contacted by an agency to complete the next steps.
CalWORKS Youth
Are you a CalWORKS youth between the ages of 16 and 18? You can earn up to $3,000 and learn valuable life skills.
Eligibility Requirements:
- LA County Resident
- Receiving CalWORKS
- 16 - 18 years of age
- Have the right to work in the U.S.
- Must have a work permit, if under 18

Foster Youth
Are you a current foster youth between 14 and 21 years old and looking for work experience? You can earn up to $1,000 and learn valuable life skills.
Eligibility Requirements:
- LA County Resident
- 14 - 21 years of age
- Currently in Foster Care
- Have the right to work in the U.S.
- Must have a work permit, if under 18
